About TimezoneSearch
A free, no-signup tool for comparing time zones and planning meetings across the world.
What this site is
TimezoneSearch lets you look up the current time in any city or IANA time zone, compare several locations side by side, and find a meeting slot that works for everyone involved — without doing the offset math yourself. It runs entirely in your browser: search for a city, add it to your list, and its local time, date, and offset from your own time zone update live.
Time zone conversions use the IANA time zone database through your browser's built-in Intl APIs, so daylight saving time transitions are handled automatically for every location, including places that change their clocks on different dates than your own.
Who it's for
The tool is built for the kinds of scheduling problems that come up whenever work or life crosses time zones:
- Remote and distributed teams coordinating stand-ups, calls, and hand-offs
- People setting up interviews, sales calls, or support sessions across regions
- Travelers checking the local time and holidays at their destination
- Anyone keeping in touch with friends or family in a different country
How the tool works
Add up to ten cities to your comparison list, reorder them as needed, and the meeting planner highlights hours that fall within typical working hours for every participant — and flags hours that land overnight or early morning for anyone in the list. You can copy a link that reproduces your exact comparison so a teammate sees the same set of cities without re-entering anything. Browse the City Pairs section for direct time-difference pages between specific city pairs, or the Articles section for practical scheduling guidance.
Privacy, in short
There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for. Your selected cities, theme, and language preference are saved only in your browser's local storage — they are never sent to a server or tied to an identity. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail, including the third-party services (analytics, weather, holidays, and reverse geocoding) the tool talks to.
