1. Overview

TimezoneSearch ("we", "this site") is a free time zone converter and meeting planner. This policy explains what data the site collects, what it stores in your browser, and which third-party services it talks to. By using this site you agree to the practices described below.

2. No accounts

There is no sign-up and no user account system. We do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords through the tool itself.

3. Data stored in your browser

Your city selections, color theme, and language preference are saved using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device — it is not transmitted to our servers and is not linked to any identity. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser or device will reset these preferences.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as which pages are visited and roughly how visitors reach the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's cookie and tracking-protection settings.

5. Third-party APIs used by the tool

Some optional features send a small amount of data — typically your device's coordinates or a time zone identifier — directly from your browser to these third-party services:

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — current weather for a selected city, using its latitude and longitude.
• Nager.Date (date.nager.at) — public holidays for a selected country and year.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) and BigDataCloud (bigdatacloud.net) — reverse geocoding, used to turn your device's coordinates into a city name when you allow the site to detect your local time zone automatically.

These requests are made only when the corresponding feature is used, and are governed by each provider's own privacy policy.

6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is intended to show advertisements served by Google AdSense. When ads are active, Google and its partners (including the DoubleClick advertising network) may set third-party cookies and use them, along with your browsing activity, to show personalized advertising. This may include using data from your visits to this and other websites to serve ads relevant to your interests.
